Fitting Accesories

Fitting Suspension


The economic option is Trunnion Suspension Clamp with Armor Rods. Armor Rods are intended to provide minimum protection for conductors against friction with suspension and bending at support point.

Secondly is Armor-Grip Suspension (AGS) or Heliformed Suspension Unit (HSU). The design can reduce the static and dynamic stresses at support point and to protect conductor against impulse and power flash-over. AGS/HSU provides better protection compare to Trunnion type.

Next option is Cushion Grip Suspension. The advantage is a simple design that can shorten the installation time. There is an elastomer insert material that can reduce the static and dynamic stresses at support point, and the design itself able to eliminate the corona effect on extra high voltage application.

Dead End, Splice & Repair


We provide many types of Compressions such as Compression Dead Ends, Midspan Joint and Repair Sleeve for various Aluminium conductors, also for earthwire cable (Compression Dead Ends and Midspan Joint).

In addition to Compression type, we are also provide Dead Ends, Splices (Midspan Joint) and Repair Sleeve Helical types. This Helical type is very easy to apply without any tooling.

Spacer Dampers


We have many size and type of spacer dampers (Bolted, Helical, Cushion-Grip), and conductor configurations for Twin, Triple, Quad and to Hex bundles.

There is an element of Elastomer insert material made of high-quality rubber, which been designed to absorb maximum energy and to protect conductors and other hardware. The design provides full resistance for conductor against vibration and eliminates additional vibration damper such as Dogbone Vibration Damper.

The Types of Spacer Dampers:

  • Light Weight Spacer (Bolt lock type), the economic type.
  • Posilok Spacer, the semi rigid spacer with rubber.
  • Rigid Spacer (Bolt lock type).
  • Helical Rod Spacer, a high strength wire formed into helical rods, recommended for use on horizontal, twin conductor bundles.

Vibration Dampers


Vibration Dampers (Dogbone)
The Aeolian vibration causes Dogbone weights to move in the opposite direction of the cable vibration. The opposite movements produce energy which then absorbed by the messenger wire on messenger cable. That energy will be dissipated to the air in the form of heat.

Spiral Vibration Dampers
Damping devices are designed for the single purpose of reducing vibration. It should be considered only as supplemental to WRAPLOCK® Tie, Armor Rod, Side Tie, Spool Tie, or other hardware at tangent supports. Dampers also used as supplemental protection at dead-ends. Spiral Vibration Dampers are made of solid PVC helical rod material that is noncorrosive and has a surface hardness which does not abrade the conductor.

Spiral Vibration Dampers are also effective on certain size overhead shield wires and OPGW. While for damper applications on ADSS cable, refer to the FIBERLIGN® Fiber Optic Products.

Suspension

Fitting Accesories for OPGW / ADSS


Heliformed Suspension Unit (HSU) provides better protection for the cable and fiber optic on the support point. Combination structures of reinforced rods, outer rods, housing and high quality rubber inserts, effectively reduced compression, clamping and bending stresses. There are Left Hand Lay and Right Hand Lay type which is fitted accordingly to the hand lay structure of the OPGW cable.

It consists of dual rods (Reinforced rods and helical dead end), extension link and pole attachment fitting. The Reinforced Rods structure have a function to protect cables from compression Dead End Clamp (Helical Dead End) pressures and with the extension link component its serve to expand the radius bending.

THERMOLIGN® Suspension


The THERMOLIGN® Suspension is specifically designed for applications on Aluminium based high temperature conductors that will be operated at continuous temperatures ABOVE 200°C, and features:

  • Multi-layer design for maximum mechanical performance and maximum heat dissipation.
  • Minimal heat transferred to mating hardware and insulators.
  • Cushioned insert surrounding conductor for superior protection of sensitive conductor components against wind and ice induced dynamic loads.
  • Available with PARROT-BILL® Rod ends for EHV (345kV and above) applications.

THERMOLIGN® Dead-end


The THERMOLIGN® Dead-end is specifically designed for application on ACSS/AW or ACCR (not intended for use on conductors with trapezoidal outer strands). The design allows for continuous conductor operating temperatures up to 250°C.

Joint Box & Aircraft Warning Spheres


Joint Box can be use for either ADSS or OPGW made of Stainless Steel IP65 material – a corrosion resistant and air and watertight sealed. Standard size Splice Case accommodates up to four 36-count Splice Trays (144 max. splice capacity). It has bracket mounting that can be use on either wooden, concrete or steel poles.

Aircraft Warning Spheres are designed to make Overhead Power Lines visible to low-flying aircraft. It is available in 300- and 600-mm Diameter, with several conductor ranges and materials and meets International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) requirements.
